Web Design Agency for Mid-Sized Companies in Stuttgart
We build B2B websites that do something for sales rather than merely look good. For companies with 10 to 500 employees in Stuttgart, the Baden-Württemberg region and across the German-speaking area.
Where we are based, and what that means for Stuttgart
Our office is in Frankfurt am Main. We work regularly on site in Stuttgart and the Baden-Württemberg region, but we do not keep a second address there. We put this in writing because the question comes up in every other initial call, and because you would find out anyway.
In practice: workshops, kickoffs and sessions with your leadership team happen at your premises. Frankfurt to Stuttgart is a good ninety minutes by train, so we are there and back the same day. Everything else runs remotely, as it does with your other suppliers.
If an agency with an address inside the city matters to you because you need short distances for weekly meetings, that is a legitimate criterion and we are the wrong choice. For projects with clear milestones rather than permanent presence, location has in our experience made no difference.
What B2B websites in the region actually fail at
Mechanical engineering, the supplier industry and technical distribution around Stuttgart share one pattern: the products need explaining, sales runs on relationships, and the website was built years ago and administered ever since. It is rarely bad. It is usually just without a job.
What we keep meeting in projects across Baden-Württemberg:
- A website describing the company instead of answering the question of the buyer who landed on it.
- Product data in PDFs that nobody can search and search engines cannot read.
- A contact form as the only route to an enquiry, although technical buyers would rather download a datasheet and call later.
- Load times that go unnoticed on the office machine and exhaust all patience on a mobile device in the workshop.
- No path from the technical article to the service: whoever arrives via search reads and leaves again.
Not one of these is a design problem. Which is why a relaunch that only looks new does not solve them.
Web design, web development and software: what we actually build
We work in four steps. The first decides the rest, and it is the one most proposals skip.
Define the job
Who lands on the site, at what point in their decision, and what should happen next. Without that, every design question is a matter of taste and every discussion is endless.
Structure and content
Site architecture, navigation logic and the copy that actually gets read. We write it with your specialists, not around them. With products that need explaining, this is the part with the greatest leverage.
Development
Clean frontend, server-rendered HTML, measurable load times. Integration with existing systems where it makes sense: ERP, PIM, CRM or applicant tracking. Web development in Stuttgart in practice almost always means interface work.
Measure and sharpen
After launch we check which pages produce enquiries and which only produce views. A website is not finished at launch, that is when it first becomes measurable.
Who this fits, and who it does not
It fits if
- you have between 10 and 500 employees and sell B2B.
- your products or services need explaining and sales currently carries all of it alone.
- the website is meant to produce enquiries rather than serve as a showpiece.
- existing systems need connecting rather than standing beside it.
It does not fit if
- you are looking for an agency with a city-centre office for weekly on-site meetings.
- only a new appearance is wanted and structure and content are to stay as they are.
- the decision for a website builder has already been made and only needs executing.
- you operate in pure high-volume consumer retail. There are better-suited providers for that.
How a project runs
Initial call
One hour, free of charge, at your premises or by video. We establish whether your plan is a web project at all. Sometimes it is a sales or a data question, and we say so.
Job and scope
We write down what the site is meant to achieve and how we will measure that after six months. That becomes a fixed-scope proposal rather than a gut estimate.
Build
Structure, content and development in manageable stages with interim results you can look at. No months without anything visible.
Launch and follow-up
After launch we stay involved for the first months. That is the period in which it becomes clear whether the assumptions from step two held.
Which type of agency suits which project
In and around Stuttgart you will essentially find three types of provider. All three are right for certain projects, and none is right for all of them.
| Creative agency | Implementer | Vincency | |
|---|---|---|---|
| Strength | Design, brand | Speed, price | Structure, systems |
| Products needing explanation | often | rarely | core focus |
| System integration | via partners | limited | in-house |
| Content with your specialists | partly | rarely | always |
| After launch | retainer | project ends | measure, then sharpen |
If your project is mainly a brand appearance, a design-led agency serves you better. If it needs to be fast and inexpensive and the requirements are modest, a specialised implementer is the more sensible choice. We become interesting when the website has to reach into existing systems and follow a sales logic.
Frequently asked questions
What does a B2B website cost for a mid-sized company?
It depends on scope, above all on the number of systems to be connected and on whether the content exists or has to be created first. That is why we do not quote a flat rate that would not fit your case anyway. The initial call is free, and a fixed-scope proposal follows from it. Market ranges and the factors that actually drive the price are written up with sources in a separate article.
Is Vincency based in Stuttgart?
No. Our office is in Frankfurt am Main, but we work regularly in Stuttgart and the Baden-Württemberg region. On-site meetings happen at your premises, and the journey takes a good ninety minutes by train. If you need an agency with an address inside the city because weekly in-person meetings are planned, we are not the right partner.
How long does a website project take in the mid-market?
For a typical B2B site with eight to fifteen pages and no complex system integration we plan for eight to fourteen weeks. The biggest time factor is almost never design or development but content: who inside the company delivers the specialist copy, and when. We plan for that from the start, because that is exactly where projects slip.
Do you also handle software development and system integration?
Yes, that is our core focus. Integrations with ERP, PIM, CRM or applicant tracking we build in-house rather than passing them to partners. In projects across Baden-Württemberg this is regularly the actual heart of the task, because product data or enquiries need to flow back into an existing system.
Do you work with WordPress or with custom development?
Both, and the decision follows the project rather than a preference. Where editorial teams maintain content regularly and requirements stay within bounds, an established system is the cheaper and more maintainable choice. Where system integration, load times or bespoke logic dominate, we build from scratch. We have set out the trade-off in detail in an article.
Web design, web development, web agency: where is the difference?
Web design decides how a site looks and how it guides someone through an offer. Web development decides whether it holds up: load time, integration with ERP or CRM, multilingual structure, maintainability two years on. Web agency is the umbrella term under which both are sold, and that is where the risk sits: many providers deliver only one of the two sides. In the mid-market this usually surfaces after launch, when the site looks good but pulls no data from the inventory system. With us design and development sit in the same house, because the decisions are connected: a layout nobody can maintain is not a good layout.
What happens after launch?
We measure which pages produce enquiries and which only collect views, and sharpen accordingly. This follow-up is part of the proposal, not an add-on. A website nobody looks at after launch loses within a year the advantage you paid for.
The next step
An initial call of one hour, free of charge and with no obligation to continue. We look at what your website does today and tell you honestly whether a project is worth it. In roughly one case in three we recommend something smaller than what was asked for.
